Akun Sabharwal takes additional charge as Civil Supplies Commissioner

Hyderabad, May 3: Prohibition and Excise Director Akun Sabharwal on Thursday took full additional charge as Commissioner of Telangana Civil Supplies Corporation.

He took the charge from CV Anand, who had brought in several tech reforms and led to a crackdown on corruption.

Mr Sabharwal held a review meeting with Civil Supplies, Consumer Affairs, Food Supply and Legal Metrology officials.

He also visited the corporation’s Command Control Centre and inspected the movement of vehicles transporting the Public Distribution System (PDS) rice.

He was further apprised of the IT initiatives in the corporation like CCTV cameras at all godowns, ePOS machines, T-Ration app and GPS tracking of transportation vehicles. (Maxim News)
