All Set For Jubilee Hills Bypoll With 127 Polling Stations
Hyderabad, Oct. 28: Election officials have completed all arrangements for the upcoming Jubilee Hills by-election. A total of 127 polling stations and 407 polling booths have been set up across the constituency to ensure smooth polling on November 11.
Security Tightened Ahead Of Jubilee Hills Bypoll
According to officials, each polling booth will be equipped with four ballot units, totaling 1,628 units, with an additional 20 percent kept in reserve as backup. For the election, 509 control units and 509 VVPAT machines have also been prepared. Randomization of the EVMs has already been completed.
To ensure peaceful polling, central security forces are being deployed in the constituency. Seven companies of central armed forces, along with around 1,600 local police personnel, will oversee security arrangements. Officials have directed candidates to present their expenditure records to election observers for verification.
The by-election was necessitated following the death of BRS MLA Maganti Gopinath. The BRS has fielded his wife, Maganti Sunitha, while the Congress candidate is Naveen Yadav and the BJP nominee is Deepak Reddy. Additionally, Asma from Mahabubnagar district is contesting as an independent representing the unemployed.
Polling will be held on November 11, with officials expressing confidence that all arrangements are in place for a free and fair election.
