However, the government has clarified that the rollout of ethanol-blended petrol was done only after a complete study. In addition, it is known that the central government recently made a big announcement that it is lifting restrictions on ethanol production for sugar manufacturing companies.

In the same vein, allegations have also been made that Union minister Nitin Gadkari is doing all this for the businesses of his family members, who are promoting petrol mixed with ethanol in the country. The reason for this is that Gadkari’s son also has a company related to ethanol production.

Nitin Gadkari Responds To Allegations

However, speaking at a recent event, Gadkari responded to these allegations. Gadkari said that the allegations against petrol mixed with 20 percent ethanol are completely a paid campaign against him. The union road Transport Minister said that some people have deliberately targeted him politically.

Gadkari clarified that automobile manufacturers and organizations like the Automotive Research Association of India have shared their research on blending ethanol in petrol with the government and that they are moving forward after examining everything. Gadkari said that the decision to blend ethanol is being taken with the aim of reducing crude imports, as well as reducing cost burden and pollution. Gadkari dismissed the campaign against ethanol-blended fuel on social media as a paid campaign carried out with a complete political conspiracy.  (Maxim News)
