Amanullah Begins Indefinite Fast For Total Prohibition In State

Hyderabad, March 8 (Maxim News): TADJAC convener Amanullah Khan began his fast-unto-death demanding KCR government announce total prohibition in State with immediate effect.

In a statement here today, Amanullah Khan alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rai was responsible for the tragic incident took place on Saturday where an alcoholic father killed his three innocent daughters to take revenge against his wife for not giving money to buy liquor. As such, he demanded that the Chief Minister either enforce total prohibition in Telangana State or step down from the post. Khan began his fast at Auto Union branch office situated at Natraj Nagar, Jhirra.

Alleging that atrocities on women and other crimes were on the increase day after day due to the government’s liquor policy, Amanullah said the people in the Stat e want enforcement of total prohibition once for all. Telangana people want total prohibition. Stating that KCR was claiming that he would achieve Golden Telangana, Amanullah Khan said actually he turned the State into a “drunkards” Telangana. He appealed to all sections of people to remain united and get ready to fight for total prohibition and see that atrocities on women and children are stopped. (Maxim News)
