Amer Ali Khan and Kodandaram were sworn in as Telangana MLCs

Hyderabad, August 16: Siasat News editor Amer Ali Khan and TJS president Kodandaram took oath as members of the Telangana Legislative Council here on Friday. Council Chairman Gutta Sukhender Reddy administered the oath.

Both were appointed as MLCs through the governor’s quota. Several state ministers, including Pongulati and Ponnam, attended the ceremony.

Speaking to the media after the swearing-in ceremony, Kodandaram, and Amer thanked Chief Minister Revanthareddy for the opportunity and assured him of his determination to work for the workers and the aspirations of the martyrs.

The appointment of Kodandaram and Amir Ali Khan faced legal challenges. In an earlier judgment, the Telangana High Court had rejected their appointments, but this was later stayed by the Supreme Court, which upheld their appointments
