Hyderabad, Nov. 7: A 41-year-old American citizen was found dead under suspicious circumstances at a hotel in Gachibowli, Hyderabad. Police have registered a case and launched an investigation.
The deceased, identified as Mitchell Brian Lee from California, arrived in Hyderabad on November 2 with his business partner, David Wu. The two were in the city for business purposes and stayed at Marriott Executive Apartments in the SLN Terminus building.
According to police, Lee occupied room number 1218 on the hotel’s 12th floor, while Wu stayed in a separate room.
Gachibowli Police Investigate American Citizen’s Death
Lee reportedly had not left his room since the evening of November 4. He also stopped responding to phone calls, raising concerns.
Wu alerted hotel staff after becoming suspicious. Staff members opened the room using a master key and found Lee unconscious on the bed.
They immediately contacted the 108 emergency service. However, the staff examined him and confirmed that he had already died.
Police said the cause of death remains unknown. The postmortem report is expected to provide further details.
