Hyderabad, Feb.13 (Maxim News): American Telangana Association (ATA-Telangana), has requested the United States Representative in Michigan, the USA, Ekissa Slotkin, to communicate to the respective officials about the detention of about 120 Indian students in different detention camps in the USA, and ensure that they (students) get decent facilities while in detention centers and they get necessary help, by law, so they can leave the country as all their friends and family members are very much worried.
In a letter to Slotkin, ATA president Satyanarayana Reddy Kandimalla, said almost all the students detained there were opting for voluntary departure and are hoping that they are barred from the re-entry to the United States. He pointed out that hundreds of Farmington University Indian students are in distress as they were put up in different detention camps across the USA. ”We sincerely request if you could please communicate about this to the respective officials that they get decent facilities while they are at the detention centers and see they get necessary help, by law, so they can leave the country as all their friends and family members are very much worried”.
