Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Amit Shah will pay a two-day visit to Puducherry from June 26. BJP State President V Samianthan told news persons here today that Mr Shah, Union Minister Pon Radhakrishnan, party National Secretary Mahesh Giri MP and party incharge for Puducherry Santhosh will take part in several functions.
Mr Saminthan said the state unit of the party is contemplating a rousing reception to Mr.Shah at the Puducherry Airport.
Later, a motor cycle rally, stressing the development of the Union Territory in which 1,000 persons to take part,will commence from Lawspet and pass through the main thoroughfares of the town. On culmination of the Rally, Mr Shah will garland the statue of Subramania Bharathi and address the gathering.
