Andhra Pradesh Revises Registration Charges From February 1
The Andhra Pradesh government has issued orders revising registration charges in rural and urban areas, effective from February 1.
According to the directive, registration values will be adjusted in accordance with market rates.
The Special Chief Secretary of the Stamps and Registration Department, R.P. Sisodia, has instructed the department’s commissioner to implement the revised values from the specified date.
As per the issued orders, registration charges may either increase or decrease depending on the respective areas.
Officials anticipate a rise in registration fees starting February 1, leading to increased footfall at registration offices across the state.
In some locations, the registration process is continuing even during nighttime hours to accommodate the demand.
Typically, urban property registration values and structure costs are revised annually on August 1, while rural areas undergo adjustments every two years.
The Andhra Pradesh government, under the current administration, has decided to modify the previous rates, stating that the previous YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) government had significantly increased registration values.
