Andhra Pradesh: Six-Month-Old Baby Assaulted In Her Cradle By A Drunken Man

Hyderabad, July 14 (Maxim News): In a horrifying incident, a six-month-old baby was assaulted by a drunken man in Ramabhadrapuram, Bobbili, Andhra Pradesh. The heinous act occurred while the child was in her cradle, and the details are both disturbing and heartbreaking.

According to Bobbili DSP Srinivasa Rao, the child’s mother had left her in the cradle and gone to the local grocery store. During this brief absence, B. Erukanna Dora from Palavalasa village entered the home and committed the unthinkable crime. The child’s cries alerted her older sister, who rushed to the scene and immediately informed their mother.

The villagers, along with the mother, pursued the accused in an attempt to apprehend him, but he managed to escape. The injured child was rushed to the Government Hospital for initial treatment and later transferred to another hospital in Vizianagaram. Her condition is now stable after medical intervention.

A case has been registered under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. Authorities apprehended the accused in Amadalavalasa.

Hope police do proper investigation and bring the accused to book and courts do justice so that the accused is punished severely. (Maxim News)
