- Animal blood racket exposed under Keesara police limits
- Animal blood racket linked to fake cure campaign
Hyderabad: Police busted an animal blood racket in Medchal district after receiving information about illegal activities at a mutton shop. The incident took place in Satyanarayana Colony under the limits of Keesara police station. According to the input, miscreants were collecting the blood of mute animals and illegally transporting it to another location.
Police said the accused were collecting blood from goats, sheep, and other mute animals inside a mutton shop. They packed the collected blood into packets and moved it elsewhere. However, after getting specific information, police acted swiftly. They raided the mutton shop and uncovered the illegal operation. The raid confirmed the existence of an organised animal blood racket operating from the premises.
During the raid, police arrested a fake veterinary doctor along with the owner of the mutton shop. They seized 180 packets of animal blood from the shop. Officials registered a case immediately and launched a detailed investigation. Meanwhile, police are trying to identify others who may be involved in the racket or linked to the transport and use of the collected blood.
Police also learned about a wider campaign connected to the animal blood racket. According to the input, there is a belief being spread that the blood of mute animals can cure certain diseases. This claim appears to have played a role in encouraging the illegal collection and sale of animal blood. However, officials did not provide details about who was spreading this campaign or where the blood was being sent.
Meanwhile, the investigation continues to focus on how long the racket was operating and whether similar activities are happening elsewhere. Police are also examining the role of the fake veterinary doctor in misleading people and supporting the racket. Later developments are expected as officials question the arrested accused and review the seized material.
The case has raised concerns about illegal practices involving animals and the spread of unverified health claims. However, police have limited their statements to the facts uncovered during the raid. Further action will depend on the findings of the ongoing investigation.
