Anjani Kumar New DGP of Telangana Police

Anjani Kumar | Hyderabad, Dec 29 (Maxim News): The Telangana government headed by Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao has issued an order appointing Anjani Kumar of the 1990 batch as the full in-charge DGP of Telangana.

As the present DGP Mahender Reddy’s tenure will end on December 31, ACB DG Anjani Kumar has been given the charge.

Ravi Gupta, who was Principal Secretary to Home was selected for the post of Director General of ACB, which fell vacant due to his transfer. along with this, he has been given additional responsibilities as DG of Vigilance and Enforcement.

1992 batch Dr. Jitendra who was Additional DGP was appointed as Principal Secretary of the Home Department. He was given Additional Charge as Director General of Prison and Correctional Services. He will continue in the same position until further orders.

Mahesh Bhagwat of the 1995 batch who was CP of Rachakonda has been appointed as Additional DGP of CID.

An order was issued appointing Devendra Singh Chauhan of the 1997 batch who was the Additional CP of Hyderabad as Rachakonda Commissioner.

Sanjay Kumar Jain of the 1997 batch, who is serving as Additional DGP, has been appointed as Additional DGP of Law and Order. Along with this, he has been given additional responsibilities as Director General of the State Disaster Response and Fire Service.

It is known that Mudireddy Mahender Reddy (born 3 December 1962) is an Indian police Service officer (1986-batch) currently serving as the 2nd and current Director general of police of Telangana since from 10 April 2018. (Maxim News)
