He jumped into a pond to escape from them. He recently lost his life while receiving treatment in a hospital, according to the local media reports.
Chandradas is a medicine and mobile banking business in Kyurbanga Bazaar. Recently, when he closed the shop and left for home in an auto, some assailants stopped the auto on the way.

They attacked Chandradas with sharp weapons. Later, they poured petrol on his head and set him on fire. To escape from them, he jumped into a pond on the side of the road. larger, locals rescued him and took him to the hospital.
Khokan’s wife Seema Das said that they had no enemies and did not know why they attacked him.
