Anti-Farmers And Anti-Poor Budget: Harish Rao
Hyderabad, Feb 1 (Maxim News): Minister for Finance, Medical, Health, and Family Welfare, T. Harish Rao said that the Union budget presented by the Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is an anti-farmers and anti-poor budget.
He said this year too, the Central government has done injustice to Telangana in the Budget and neglected the priority sectors.
Harish Rao opined that the budget prepared by the Center is depressing the country’s farmers and developing states. He was furious that the railway coach factory, which Telangana has been asking for nine years, was not mentioned in the budget this time. Harish Rao criticized the Center for not implementing even one of the promises made in the AP State Reorganisation Act, no project in the state has been given national status. Not given GST concessions and special incentives in the state. Harish Rao said that there has been a huge cut in the funds related to farmers in the budget. he expressed that subsidies on fertilizer have been reduced and the cut in rural employment guarantee funds.
He said that tax exemptions to employees of Singareni workers are not useful and this is just an illusionary budget. (Maxim News)
