Antique Victorian Marine Telescope seized in Hyderabad, 3 arrested

Hyderabad, July 25 (Maxim News): The Task Force team today arrested three people and seized 100 years old antique Victorian Marine Telescope from them.

On credible information, Central Zone Task Force Team apprehended Shaik Dasthagiri (40) of Kothagudem district, Kankanala Ajay (27) of Paddapally district (agent) and Md Khaleel (45) of Faluknuma (agent when they were trying to sell the Telescope along with stand made by W.Ottway & Co Limited, Ealing, London in 1915, at Omer Hotel in Chandrayangutta here, police said.

The accused Shaik Dasthagiri had procured the Telescope from one Manish of West Bengal when he was working at Kothagudem Thermal Power Station (KTPS). He also paid some money to Manish who was also worked in the same organization.

Due to financial problem, Shaik Dasthagri wanted to sell it for prosper buyer for huge amount. When they were in the process, police intervened and arrested them.

The accused along with seized antique Telescope was handed over to the Chandrayangutta Police Station for further investigation, police added.(Maxim News)
