Anurag Basu Denies Rumors: “Not true. Tripti knows it too”

In a surprising turn of events, director Anurag Basu has confirmed that Tripti Dimri will no longer be part of the highly anticipated Aashiqui 3, despite her earlier involvement in the project, without disclosing any reasons. However, he denied the rumors that she was being removed because of her being “too exposed” which required a “purity in demeanor” due to her role in Animal as stated by a few netizens. Anurag Basu dismissed all these rumors and said in an official statement, “It’s not true. Tripti knows it too.” Basu’s clarification underscores that Dimri’s exit was unrelated to any concerns about her previous performances, dispelling the rumors circulating on social media.

This brought her a lot of criticism for working as a female lead in Aashiqui 3 as she is considered “too exposed” and this role requires a lead who is “pure and innocent”.As Aashiqui 3 moves forward, all eyes are on Anurag Basu and the creative direction of the film, particularly with the challenge of casting a new female lead. Despite this setback, the romantic drama’s music and emotional appeal are sure to capture the audience’s hearts when it is released.
