AP Assembly bans use of cell phones during Assembly session

In the winter session of the Andhra Pradesh state assembly on Friday, assembly speaker Tammineni Sitaram made an important decision: MLAs would not be allowed to carry cell phones inside the House.

Sitaram urged to all members to comply with him in carrying out the order, stating that the use of mobile phones will disrupt the sanctity of the House.

Apparently, the decision was made in the aftermath of last week’s debacle in the assembly, when the opposition leader N Chandrababu Naidu had expressed his resentment against the YSRCP members alleging that it was a big insult to him.
