AP Budget Session: FM Buggana Allocates Rs 24,624 Cr For Education

May 20: Finance Minister Buggana Rajendranath Reddy on Thursday presented annual Budget for the year 2021-22 with an estimate of Rs 2.29 lakh crore in the Legislative Assembly. This time, the minister gave importance to welfare in the Budget. Buggana has allocated Rs 24,624 crore for education.
In which, Rs 3,500 crore for implementation of Nadu-Nedu programme in schools and colleges and Rs 1,200 crore for Jagananna Goru Mudda, Rs 750 crore. The minister earmarked Rs 750 crore for Jagananna Vidya Kanuka programme and Rs 1,973 crore for higher education. More allocation was made for education compared to previous year.
