Andhra Pradesh State Disaster Management Commissioner Kanna Babu said surface periodicity had formed in the southeastern Bay of Bengal with which the state will receive moderate rains for the next two days. Moderate to heavy rains are expected in Prakasam, Nellore, Chittoor and YSR Kadapa districts tomorrow (Monday) while slight showers are likely in Krishna, Guntur, Anantapur and Kurnool districts.
On the other hand, moderate to heavy rains in Nellore, Chittoor, Kadapa and Anantapur districts. Light to moderate rains are expected in Prakasam and Kurnool districts. Kanna Babu said people should be vigilant.
Om the other hand, the persistent low pressure along the coast of Ramanathapuram has turned into a deep depression due to which Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Kerala, Nellore and Chittoor districts will receive heavy rains. The meteriological Office said the rains would gradually subside after another 24 hours. Moderate to heavy rainfall over most parts due to the low pressure area. The department has predicted that there could be scattered light showers in the South coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema districts on Sunday and Monday.
