Appeal People To Exercise Their Right To Vote Without Fear: DGP Ravi Gupta 

Hyderabad, May 12 (Maxim News):  We have completed all arrangements for the Parliament elections to be held on May 13. DGP Ravi Gupta said that all people should exercise their right to vote fearlessly.

Speaking to the media on this occasion, he said that all the arrangements have been completed without any untoward incident happening anywhere.  He said that 73,414 police personnel have been deployed for the Lok Sabha elections. 

The details of security arrangements with 164 Central Armed Forces including 500 Telangana Special Force units were disclosed  He also said that 7,000 home guards of other states are being provided with 89 inter-state border checkposts and 173 inter-district checkposts.  He said that liquor and drugs worth Rs. 186 crores have been seized and 8,863 cases have been registered in connection with inspections.

We have established security with central forces in Maoist-affected areas. He warned that strict action will be taken nif false propaganda is spread on social media.  We have set up a separate cyber security wing for social media. The DGP said that special check posts with paramilitary forces have been set up on the state borders. (Maxim News)
