iPhone Duo | Apple has launched its first foldable smartphone, the iPhone Duo, at Apple Store locations worldwide on Friday, October 23.
Customers gathered at stores across the globe to experience the new device. Apple executives John Ternus and Deirdre O’Brien welcomed customers at Apple Domain NORTHSIDE in Austin, Texas.
Meanwhile, Greg “Joz” Joswiak and Vanessa Trigub greeted customers at Apple Fifth Avenue in New York City. Apple teams also offered hands-on demonstrations and personalised shopping assistance at stores worldwide.
The launch marks Apple’s entry into the foldable smartphone market. The company introduced the iPhone Duo in September, featuring a foldable design and a redesigned software experience.
iPhone Duo Offers a Foldable Display and Personalised Setup
The iPhone Duo features a 7.6-inch inner display and a 5.4-inch outer screen. Apple says the device combines a larger viewing area with a compact design when folded. It runs iOS 27 and uses the A20 Pro chip.
Customers can purchase the device through Apple Stores, the company’s official website and the Apple Store app. However, availability may vary by location because initial supplies are limited in several markets.

Apple Specialists are offering support with trade-ins, financing options and carrier deals. The company is also providing Personal Setup assistance to help customers transfer data securely from their existing devices.
Apple has introduced new Today at Apple sessions to help buyers explore the phone’s features. These include “Say Hello to iPhone Duo” and sessions covering new features in iOS 27.
The company says these services are intended to help customers get started with their new devices and make better use of the updated software.
The iPhone Duo’s global retail launch follows strong interest during pre-orders. Its availability remains dependent on local stock and purchasing arrangements.
