Apprehended Cheater Duping Gullible Persons On Rice Pulling Business: Seized Cash Rs. 25 Lakhs

Hyderabad, Oct 9 (Maxim News): Based on credible information, the sleuths of the Commissioner’s Task Force, North Zone Team, Hyderabad City, along with Mahankali Police, apprehended cheaters who duped complainant in the guise of Rice Pulling Business, and seized Cash Rs. 25 lakhs, One Copper vessel and Cell Phones all worth Rs. 27 lakhs.

The accused who have been arrested are  1. Pagidimarry Shiva Santhosh Kumar’ age: 43 years, r/o.Old Alwal, Secunderabad. 2. Gulluru Manjunath Reddy age: 38 years, r/o.Kuppam Chittoor, A.P. 3. Pratap S.R @ Ravinder Prasad age: 44 years r/o.Bengaluru, Karnataka.

The accused persons Pagidimarry Shiva Santhosh Kumar, Gulluru Manjunath Reddy, and Pratap S.R @ Ravinder Prasad colluded with each other, and planned to dupe gullible persons on the name of ‘Rice-Pulling Business’. For this purpose, they made a Copper Vessel, which is believed to contain supernatural powers. Accused Manjunath Reddy got in contact with complainant Shashikanth through their common friend.  He lured the complainant in the guise of a ‘Rice pulling Business’ by showing ‘Copper Vessel’ and made him believe that it had supernatural powers, and with it, money doubled, where he could earn ’10 Crore rupees. This business of selling the copper vessel is executed through a Company known as “Appreches and Research”. Later, accused Shiva Santhosh met the complainant at Minerva Grand, SD Road, Secunderabad, and introduced himself as an employee in said company, also disclosed that the quality of the vessel is tested only through a ‘Scanner’ for doing business, which is available with DRDO, for which complainant has to pay Rs.25 Lakh rupees.  Both accused introduced another accused Pratap S.R @ Ravinder Prasad as Scientist of DRDO.  Believing versions of accused persons, on 6-10-2024  complainant paid Rs.25 Lakh rupees to accused Shiva Santhosh at Bombay Hotel Lane, Ranigunj, Secunderabad. However, the accused did not get the Scanner and started saying that an amount of Rs.23,00,000/- was required in addition to executing the business. Later, the complainant lost confidence in them and realized that the trio had colluded with each other, made him trust them about their ideology, and dishonestly induced him.

The apprehension was carried out by  K.Saidulu, Inspector of Police, Task Force,  Parasuram, Inspector of Police, Mahankali PS and SIs P. Gnanadeep, Srinivasulu Dasu of the North Zone Task Force, and P. John SI of Police Mahankali PS and along with the North Zone Task Force team. (Maxim News)
