Arogyasri Services Will Be Closed From August 31st
Hyderabad, Aug 22 (Maxim News): Telangana Aarogyasri Network Hospitals Association (TAMHA) has announced that it will suspend the services of Arogyasri. Journalist Health Scheme and Employee Health Scheme across the state from midnight of August 31.
It said that this decision was taken after the promises made as part of the discussion held with the government last January were not implemented. TANHA revealed that it had written a letter to the CEo of Aarogyasri Healthcare Trust on Thursday. It demanded the release of Rs. 1400 crore in Aarogyasri dues and fulfillment of promises.
President Dr. Vazdaddiraju Rakesh said that the dues, which were Rs. 1,100 crore in January, have now increased, which is a situation that is leading to the closure of small and medium-sized hospitals. Meanwhile, TANHA recalled that the Health Minister had promised to clear the dues within 4 months after Aarogyasri services were suspended for 10 days last January and to form a committee to make regular payments.
