Hyderabad, June 1 (Maxim News): Chief Electoral Officer, Vikas Raj said that all arrangements have been made for the counting of votes in Telangana, the counting will begin at 8 am on June 4. Section 144 has been imposed near counting centers.

Speaking to press persons, the Chief Electoral Officer, Vikas Raj said agents entering the counting center are prohibited from using cell phones.  Strict action will be taken if the Election Commission rules are violated.

In Telangana, elections for 17 Lok Sabha Constituencies and one Cantonment Assembly seat were held on May 13. and counting will be held on June 4, Vikas Raj said that Section 144 has been imposed, the four-layer security near the counting centers. The agents have to reach their assigned centers by 7 am. First, the postal ballot is counted. 19 counting centers and 276 tables have been set up to count the postal vote.  Also, 135 scanning centers have been set up. Counting will be done in 34 centers across Telangana. There are 24 rounds in three places.  Counting will be completed in Yakutpura, Choppadandi, and Devarakonda in 24 rounds. He said there will be 13 rounds in Armoor, Bhadrachalam and Ashwaraopet.

Vikas Raj said that counting is likely to be completed before 3 pm. ETPB votes reserved for service voters will also be counted at postal ballot counting centers. Separate tables were arranged for these. Special cabins have been set up in EVM vote counting centers to count VV Pat slips. Boards have been set up at each counting center to announce the results. A four-tier security system and barricading have been set up at the counting centers. Inspections are conducted everywhere. (Maxim News)
