Asaduddin Owaisi Impact: Revanth Reddy Opposes CAA
Hyderabad, March 16 (Maxim News): Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has clarified that the stand taken by the AICC on the issue of CAA is the same as the TPCC. He said that Congress always stood on the issues related to Muslim Minorities, he said that it was the Congress party that has given 4 percent reservation to Muslims in employment and education, similarly, Congress always stood to protect the interest of Muslim Minorities in the matter of development and welfare. He made it clear that as the AICC is opposing the CAA, we at the state level also stand against the CAA.

This issue was raised in the press conference held by the Chief Minister on the completion of 100-day rule in Telangana by the Congress party, expressing doubt Revanth Reddy has not mentioned and maintained total silence on the issue of CAA in yesterday’s iftar party held at LB Stadium.
It may be recalled that AIMIM Chief and Hyderabad MP, Asaduddin Owaisi who was present at the Iftaar Party has requested the Chief Minister to make his party (Congress) stand clear on the CAA, though the All India Congress party has made its stand clear of opposing the CAA saying that it will be injustice to the Muslims, the AICC stand is clear, Asadduddin Owaisi wanted that the reaction of the Chief Minister on the issue will give more strength. However, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy did not mention CAA anywhere in his speech.

It has also been seen at the LB stadium that some Muslim elders blocked Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy’s car and asked him to talk about CAA. Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy also did not express his position on CAA.
With this attitude of the Chief Minister and his Cabinet colleagues, discussions are going on among the people as to why Telangana Congress leaders are not talking about the CAA Bill introduced by the BJP government. (Maxim News)
