Ashram Student Dies Due To Viral Fever: Family Member Protests

Mulugu/Hyderabad, Feb 17 (Maxim News): Tragedy struck the Peruru Ashram School in Vajedu Mandal. An eighth-grade student, Soyam Vineet, 13 succumbed to a viral fever in Perur Ashram School in Mulugu district on Saturday night. He was down with fever for the past four days and the school staff failed to ensure timely medical treatment.

His condition deteriorated last night leading to his death.  The death of the student triggered protests.  It is alleged that timely information was not given even to the parents. 

Vineet’s mother and family members gathered in front of the school hostel and sat in protest demanding justice. The protesters called for a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding Vineet’s death. They demanded authorities to take immediate action against the staff responsible for the neglect.  (Maxim News)
