Aspirations of Telangana people not being fulfilled: Gajendra Singh

Hyderabad, Aug.2 (Maxim News): Union minister Gajendra Singh Shekawat today claimed that the aspirations of people of Telangana were not being fulfilled in their own State and added that their aspirations would be fulfilled only after the defeat of the TRS State government.

Addressing a public meeting at the resumption of the third phase of Praja Sangrama Padatra of State BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar at Yadagirigutta, Shekawat said he was happy to perform prayers at the famous Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swami temple. He wished that the third phase of the padayatra was a grand success. He claimed that the siren of their party had been sounded and their party would come to power under leadership of Bandi Sanjay.

He claimed that their party had played an important role in the formation of separate Telangana State and recalled that the people of the State used to call their party leader Sushma Swaraj as Chinnamma (Aunty). Claiming that only one family of the state is benefiting from development, he said the day to end CM KCR’s rule was very near. He alleged that KCR had extended his support to corruption and family-based political parties in the recent President’s electionsHe also claimed that the two pump houses of Kaleswaram lift irrigation project were inundated due to engineering faults and alleged that the project was built only to earn commissions.

Referring to the statement of KCR that the Central government had not given national project status to Kaleswaram, he asked the CM to talk about the corruption held in the execution of the project. He said the credit behind making a Dalit leader Ram Nath Kovind and a tribal woman leader Draupadi Murmu as Presidents of the country goes to their party. He also alleged that CM KCR had retracted from his promise of making a Dalit leader as the first CM Of Telangana State. Stating that the aspirations of the people of the country are being fulfilled in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s rule, he said the country was evolving into a powerful nation. (Maxim News)
