Hyderabad, March 15 (Maxim News): Business Advisory Committee (BAC) of the Assembly chaired by Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy today decided to conduct the budget session-2021 for 10 days till March 26, After the budget presentation on Thursday, there will be no sitting on March 19 (Friday) and March 21 (Sunday)being holiday, after the joint address made by Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan here in the Assembly.
The speaker discussed on the Assembly budget session for 2021-22 fiscal year with Assembly Affairs Minister V Prashanth Reddy, Finance Minister T Harish Rao, Agriculture Minister S Niranjan Reddy, BC Welfare Minister G Kamalakar, SC welfare Minister, Koppula Eshwar, chief whip D Vinay Bhaskar, whip G Sunitha, CLP leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, MIM leaders Pasha Khadri and MIM leaders and Secretary Dr V Narsimha Charyulu.
As per the BAC decisions, the Assembly will move the condolence motions on March 16 commemorating Nagarjuna Sagar MLA late Nomula Narasimhaiah along with former legislators Gunda Mallesh, Naini Narsimha Reddy, Kamatam Ram Reddy, K Madhusudhan Rao and others who passed over the last one year.
The Speaker has expressed his views that amid Corona measures the state government can conduct the house till March 26. While the Budget will be presented on March 18 and appropriation bill will be passed through the house approval on March 26. A release said that the house will be conducted till March 26.
The speaker informed about the BAC decisions as following the house will pay tributes to the departed leaders on March 16. It will have a brief debate on the motion of thanks to the Governor Speech on March 17.
On March 18 the house will see the presentation of the Budget 2021-22. It will be presented by Finance Minister T Harish Rao.
While March 19 is the holiday to enable the members to go through the Budget proposals the house will discuss on the budget on March 20. While March 21 is a holiday being Sunday, debate on the budget proposals will be taken up from March 22 to 25. On March 26, the house will discuss the Appropriation Bill and approve it for the 2021-22 fiscal. (Maxim News)
