Auto Drivers Stage Protest Over Increasing Fuel Prices

Hyderabad, June 19 (Maxim News): Telangana Auto Drivers JAC has given a call to Auto Drivers to put on head lights and drive their vehicles throughout the day on June, 25 in protest against the high cost of petrol and diesel rates and demanding the State Government to provide necessary financial help to Auto Drivers keeping in view of the over one month’s Lock Down problems and difficulties.

According a press statement here today Mohd. Amanulla Khan, Convenor alleged it is a matter of great regret and shame that the Central Government in collusion with the State Governments is going on hiking petrol and diesel rates non-stop which is resulting in high cost of living. In view of the above, our JAC has decided to observe “black day” with a difference. The Auto Drivers on the day would put on their vehicle head lights as a novel protest and drive them throughout the day condemning the high cost of petrol and diesel rates.

Further, Khan has appealed to other vehicle drivers of all categories such as, taxi, lorry, two wheeler riders, cars etc., also to put on their vehicle head lights on June, 25 throughout the day and make the “Black Day” protest against the high cost of petrol and diesel rates a great success.
