Awareness Program Held On Drunk And Drive
Hyderabad, Nov 4 (Maxim News): Additional Commissioner of Police, Traffic G. Sudheer Babu, held a counselling session at Traffic Training Insitute Goshamahal, Hyderabad to bring awareness to drunken drivers and urged them to avoid driving in drunken conditions.
The chief guest presented an analysis of road accident deaths in India, he said that a total of 1,53,947 people are losing their lives in road accidents which is the highest in the world. Mostly youth aged between 20-35 years are dying, who are the future hope of the family which is bringing a great loss to their family members. He said that 90% of road accidents are mainly caused due to human errors viz., sleeplessness, overspeeding drunken driving, wrong-side driving, not wearing of head gears/seat belts etc. Pedestrians are the most affected road users who are losing their lives in road accidents.
He further said that the citizens should feel responsible towards their family and fellow
citizens and change their behaviour and avoid drunken driving.
D. Srinivas, DCP Traffic-III, B. Dhanalaxmi, ACP Traffic-IV South West Zone participated in which 100 members of drunken drivers and their family members attended this enlightening counselling session. (Maxim News)
