Awareness Program On Fertilizers Application Held

Hyderabad, Oct.17 (Maxim News): Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University(PJTSAU) and Department of Agriculture have jointly organised a one day awareness programme on fertilizers application for resource persons of agricultural department, agricultural university and coromandel fertilizers here at university auditorium, in Rajendranagar on Thursday. The program was supported by the coromandel fertilizers. Speaking at this program vice chancellor PJTSAU Dr V Praveen Rao has given several suggestions to the resource persons.

In a present day situation, agriculture has become a knowledge based society, said the VC. He advised that the young agricultural officers should be sensitized with the developments taking around them. They always eager to know about the developments happening around, VC said . Further, he suggested that, the messages regarding the fertilizer application should be in simple language and crisp. Farmers should be encouraged on organic farming and also educated to reduce the usage of chemical fertilizers, he said.

Dr Rajireddy, Director of Extension, Dr. Pradeep, Director of Research, Dr Ramulu, JDA, Fertilizers and Dr Subbareddy, vice president, Coromandel fertilizers also spoke on this occasion . Several agricultural officers, scientists from krishi vignana kendras, agricultural research stations, resource persons of coromandel fertilizers participated in this program. (Maxim News)
