Azharuddin Induction Just For Jubilee Hills Bypoll: KTR
- KTR accuses Congress of using Azharuddin’s induction for Jubilee Hills elections
- BRS leader says Congress under pressure as ministers flood Hyderabad
Hyderabad, Oct 30 (Maxim News): BRS Working President K. T. Rama Rao (KTR) strongly criticized the Congress government for inducting former cricketer Mohammed Azharuddin into the cabinet, calling it a politically motivated move aimed only at influencing the upcoming Jubilee Hills by-election.
KTR said that after nearly two years in power, the Congress party was finally beginning to understand the ground realities of Telangana politics. He accused the ruling party of trying to restore its fading reputation and said its current acts reveal political desperation. “The party, which has completely degraded, is making all-out efforts to save its reputation,” KTR remarked.
The BRS leader further alleged that Congress was making “false promises” to film workers and other communities just to secure the Jubilee Hills seat. He said that ministers roaming the streets of Hyderabad like never before is clear proof that the party is under immense pressure. According to him, these efforts expose the government’s fear of losing its influence in the state’s politically significant constituency.
KTR asserted that the Congress leadership would only think about implementing its six guarantees and 420 promises made during the previous assembly elections if it fails miserably in Jubilee Hills. He argued that the by-election would serve as the right platform for voters to “teach a lesson” to the state’s ruling party. He also took to social media, where he reiterated his criticism and questioned the timing of Azharuddin’s induction into the cabinet.
The Jubilee Hills by-election has become a focal point in Telangana politics, and KTR’s sharp remarks have added more intensity to the political narrative surrounding the contest.
