“Crime Patrol”, a serial on an entertainment channel is popularly known for narrating crime stories in a gripping manner. A B.Com student from old city of Hyderabad, who does not miss to watch a Crime Patrol serial, allegedly got inspired by the the same to conspire and kidnap a 12-year-old boy for a ransom of Rs 25 lakhs. Later when he failed to execute his plan to make the ransom call, he ended up throttling the boy to death.
Hyderabad police said that Mohammed Uroozuddin, 12, went missing on April 28 and his family members lodged a missing complaint in Chandrayangutta police station.
It was six days after he went missing, police on Thursday found that Uroozuddin was murdered by 21-year-old Muneer, who happens to be his neighbour. It was a CCTV footage, which played a clinching role in identifying and suspecting Muneer’s behind the missing of Uroozuddin.
