Balmur Venkat Counters Harish Rao Over Allegations

Hyderabad, Jan 19 (Maxim News): BRS MLC Balmur Venkat on Monday launched a sharp counter against former minister Harish Rao over allegations circulating within the party and public domain. Balmur Venkat’s counter to Harish Rao came amid internal criticism following remarks reportedly made by BRS leader Kavitha.

He said confusion prevailed among party leaders and the public due to the allegations. He added that when accusations came from within the family, Harish Rao had a responsibility to respond. He further stated that claims about corruption and misuse of power required clear answers.

Balmur Venkat said Harish Rao, known as a trouble shooter, was now unable to resolve issues facing him. He demanded that Harish Rao and KTR publicly prove their integrity if they had nothing to hide. He cited Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, who held a media briefing to clarify allegations, as an example of accountability.

He also responded to remarks on unemployment and public institutions. He said Congress leaders had already visited Chikkadpally Central Library after coming to power. He added that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy would visit when appropriate.

Balmur Venkat alleged that BRS actions in recent years indirectly helped the BJP. He asserted that the Congress would not align with either BRS or BJP in elections. He challenged both parties to contest independently in future polls, stating that voters would deliver a clear verdict. (Maxim News)
