Hyderabad: Union Minister Bandi Sanjay criticised Chief Minister Revanth Reddy over the government’s plan to give electric scooters to college students. The criticism came after the Chief Minister spoke about the proposal during an event held in Hyderabad.
Bandi Sanjay said the Chief Minister keeps changing his stand on public issues. He questioned the new promise of providing EV scooters to students. According to him, the government has not yet cleared fee reimbursement dues for college students.
He argued that the government should first settle pending dues before making new announcements. Therefore, he accused the Chief Minister of making promises without addressing existing problems faced by students.

During his remarks, Bandi Sanjay said that the government has not paid fee reimbursement dues for college students. However, the Chief Minister is now promising free electric scooters for students.
He said the government should first focus on clearing these pending payments. Only after that, he added, new schemes should be announced. His comments raised questions about the priorities of the government’s welfare plans.
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister made the announcement on Sunday. He spoke at an International Women’s Day programme held at Praja Bhavan. The event was organised by the government to honour journalists.
During the programme, the Chief Minister announced house sites for journalists in Future City. He also said the government will soon give electric scooters to girls who travel to colleges.
Bandi Sanjay raises questions on land and Musi project spending
Bandi Sanjay also raised the issue of land distribution by the government. He said the Chief Minister had earlier stated that the government does not have land to distribute to poor people, Dalits and tribal communities.
However, according to him, the government is now promising land for journalists and people affected by the Musi project. He questioned the change in the government’s stand on the issue.
The Union Minister also spoke about government spending. He said the government claims it does not have enough money to pay pensions. However, he alleged that large funds are being arranged for the Musi project.
The Chief Minister also addressed concerns about people affected by the Musi project. He said residents of Madhupark Apartments will not face losses. According to him, the government will arrange land and funds for building houses.
Later, Bandi Sanjay responded on the social media platform X and criticised the Chief Minister. He said the Chief Minister’s statements are changing on different issues.
