Basheerunnisa Begum, Member Of Nizam Family, Passes Away

Hyderabad: A well-known member of the Nizam family, Basheerunnisa Begum, who was the last surviving offspring of Nizam VII Mir Osman Ali Khan, passed away on Tuesday morning due to natural causes. She was 93.

Survived by her only daughter Rasheedunnisa Begum, Basheerunniss was staying at her residence in Purani Haveli. She was married to Nawab Kazim Yar Jung also known as ‘Ali Pasha’, who passed away in 1998.

Several members of the Nizam family are visiting the residence to offer their condolences to the family.

The funeral is expected to be held after ‘Zohar’ prayers and the burial will take place thereafter near Darga Yahiya Pasha graveyard at Misrigunj in the old city.
