Hyderabad, Oct. 9 (Maxim News): TPCC Chief Mahesh Kumar Goud has hailed the 42 percent reservation for BCs in local bodies as a landmark social revolution in India’s history.

Speaking at a party Zoom meeting alongside Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, he emphasized the Congress party’s and state government’s dedicated efforts to secure this reservation.

Mahesh Kumar Goud urged party workers to actively promote this historic achievement among the public.

He also highlighted that the notification for local body elections has been issued and that the nomination process is underway for the first phase of MPTC and ZPTC polls.

Stressing the importance of these elections, he called on Congress ranks to approach them with utmost seriousness.

Additionally, he revealed that the All India Congress Committee (AICC) has launched a special campaign against ‘vote theft’ nationwide.

As part of this, they aim to collect 100 signatures from each village across Telangana by October 15 to be sent to the AICC. Mahesh Kumar directed DCC presidents, MLAs, and in-charge officials to prioritize and ensure the timely completion of this signature collection drive. (Maxim News)
