BDL Organizes Programs to Mark ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’

Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL) has organized programs to mark ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ being celebrated throughout the country to commemorate 75 years of India’s Independence”.

A program on “Indigenization success story of BDL” was organized on 15 Sep 2021 in which, the participants were explained about the products that were successfully indigenized by BDL. The programme highlighted the various benefits of indigenization such as savings in foreign exchange, mitigation of product dependence on foreign Original Equipment Manufacturers, improvement in organizational learning through in-house R & D efforts, opportunity for product innovation and improved customer support.

Participants were also made aware about the various stages of indigenization including design and development efforts. The programme was inaugurated by Commodore A. Madhava Rao (Retd), Executive Director (Kanchanbagh Unit), BDL.  An Awareness program on “Atmanirbhar Bharat Mission” was organized at BDL, Bhanur Unit on 13 Sep 2021 as a part of “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” celebrations. 

The participants were explained about the impact of Covid-19 Pandemic on the Indian Economy. In this context, the participants were explained about the need to rise to the occasion and contribute to the efforts being made by the Government towards realization of an ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’. The programme was inaugurated by Shri Ch. Ramesh Babu, General Manager (Bhanur Unit), BDL.
