Hyderabad, Jan 08 (Maxim News): HYDRAA Commissioner AV Ranganath visited the tanks developed by HYDRAA on Thursday. In the wake of the government’s decision to organize a grand kite festival at the tanks developed by HYDRA, he inspected the arrangements there.
Along with the Kukatpally Nalla Tank, he visited the Jammikunta Tank in Madhapur and the Bum-Rukn-ud-Daulah Tank in Patabasti. He said that the beautification work should be completed in three to four days and the venues should be prepared for the celebrations.
Commissioner inspected the lighting arrangements. He asked that plants be planted in large numbers and the tanks should be beautified. He issued clear instructions to the officials that there should be no negligence in the conservation of the tanks.
He suggested that the surroundings of the tanks should be developed to make them attractive to the public, and that walking paths, lighting, cleaning work and security arrangements should be expedited. He ordered that the work be completed on a war footing so that the tanks are fully ready by the festival.
It was also suggested that there should be strict monitoring around the ponds to prevent encroachment, and that fencing and warning boards be installed where necessary. (Maxim News)
