Bhanu Atri Becomes The First Hindu Guru In The British Royal Navy

London/internet/Hyderabad, Aug 20 (Maxim News): The British Royal Navy has appointed its first Hindu guru.  The appointment will provide spiritual guidance to naval personnel through the principles of Hinduism.  This is the first time a non-Christian has been selected in this way.  Bhani Atri is one of 148 new officers appointed to the British Royal Navy.  3

Bhanu Atri (39) is a young man from Himachal Pradesh, India.  he currently lives in Essex, UK.  he has long experience in managing a temple in London.  Bhanu Atri underwent six weeks of formal training for his latest assignment.  This included four weeks of sea survival training on the warship HMS Iron Duke and three weeks of training as a Hindu Guru.  Atri said he was delighted to be selected as the first Hindu Guru in the Navy.

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Suhwinder Singh Sukhu congratulated Bhanu Atri.  The CM extended his heartfelt congratulations to Bhanu Atri on being selected as a Hindu Guru in the British Royal Navy.  he said that Bhanu Atri has become a source of pride for Himachal as well as the country.  Born in September 1986, Bhanu Atri completed primary education from Saraswati Niketan Senior Secondary School in Nalwa.  After that,  completed Shastri education from Sanskrit College in Solan and obtained a degree in Astrology in Delhi. Atri reached London in 2009 and took charge as a temple priest there.  Bhanu Atri’s father Ram Gopal Atri is a retired teacher.  Bhanu Atri’s mother Leena Atri is a housewife.  Bhanu Atri lives in London with her wife and children.  (Maxim News)
