The Supreme Court on Thursday issued a specific time-sharing order to avoid communal friction at the disputed site. The bench led by Chief Justice of India Surya Kant ruled that Hindu devotees could perform prayers from sunrise to sunset, while Muslims were permitted to offer namaz between 1 pm and 3 pm.

Dhar district collector Priyank Mishra said Hindu devotees began worship at sunrise, performing havan and recitations throughout the day. “Around 1 pm, members of the Muslim community were escorted inside Bhojshala in a police van for Friday prayers, which were offered around 2 pm. Afterward, they exited under police security. They were allocated a separate place for their prayers,” Mishra added.

Inspector General Anuraag Singh of the Indore division confirmed that security remained strict throughout. “The police and the Rapid Action Force maintained strict surveillance over the movement and activities of devotees. Artificial intelligence and drones are being used to keep an eye on all activity at Bhojshala,” he said.

Authorities also used mobile vans and police teams on bikes to make announcements and urged extra vigilance in the city and on social media. A warning was issued that strict action would be taken against anyone spreading misinformation. Overall, the celebrations of Saraswati Puja and Friday Namaz at Bhojshala proceeded peacefully.
