Big Alert For Hyderabadis: Thousands Of Fake AADHAR And Voter Cards In Market

Hyderabad, Nov 15 (Maxim News): North Zone Task Force, Mahankali Police has arrested a gang that was making fake Voter IDs, Aadhaar, Passport, PAN Cards, and Birth Certificates.

Gang leader Elagam Raj Kumar along with his accomplices Vijayalakshmi, Pallavi, Bandi Shankar, and outsourcing employees Mahbub and Giriraj Anil Kumar were arrested and remanded.

Three computers, one laptop, 2 printers, a biometric machine, and a customer data entry book were seized from the gang.  Hyderabad Task Force DCP YVS Sudhindra revealed the details of this case on Thursday (November 14, 2024) in a meeting organized at the CCS office in Bashir Bagh, Hyderabad.

The DCP said that the leader of the gang, Elagam Rajkumar, was arrested on June 10 last year in the case of fake certificates. At that time the details of fake certificates were not available due to data crashes.  Even after he was released from jail, he continued the crime.  He said that along with the other five, he made a large number of fake certificates.  

50,000 voter cards were approved from his center in a year, and 15,000 were found to be fake.  He said that 10,000 fake Aadhaar cards, 50 fake passports, 1500 fake PAN cards, and hundreds of fake birth certificates were made.  Police said that the accused sold them to whoever they liked.  It is stated that it has been found that fake passports are mostly sold to Nepalis.
