In the past, the BRS government had ordered an inquiry into this, it went on nominally. No report has come out on this accident.

The Congress government in Telangana has given instructions to the authorities to speed up the investigation of the Kaleshwaram project. In this order, vigilance officials have increased the speed of investigation. In 2016, vigilance officials revealed sensational facts about the reasons behind the collapse of the Mid Manair project. The reasons for this accident have been revealed. During the construction of the dam, the height of the spillway was higher than the earth bund. Due to this reason, the authorities and the representatives of the contract company did not pay heed to the fact that the dam would be washed away due to this reason.

The Vigilance officials stated in the report that the negligence of the contractor is as much as the negligence of the authorities for the embankment of the Mid Manair project to be washed away.  Due to the negligence of the contractor, the earth bund was damaged by 130 meters.

However, it is reported that Vigilance initially found that the works had already been started with an estimated cost of Rs. 122.30 crores. But we have to wait and see what steps the state government will take after taking the report. However, there is a possibility of giving notice to KCR as part of this investigation.  (Maxim News)
