Big shock to MLA Raja Singh: ‘PD Act’ appeal rejected
In a shocker to Goshamahal MLA T. Raja Singh, the advisory board on preventive detention on Wednesday upheld the PD act invoked against him and rejected the legislator’s plea of quashing the PD act imposed on him by the Hyderabad police.
On September 29, Raja Singh appeared before the PD act advisory board from Cherlapally Central Prison via video conference.
The suspended MLA submitted his arguments against invoking the PD act, his wife also filed a written counter before the committee challenging the PD act against her husband.
The review board comprising 3 members received the counters from Usha Bai, the wife of Raja Singh. The committee however reserved the matter for passing orders.
On August 25, Raja Singh was detained under the act for allegedly making blasphemous and hate statements.
