Bihar Minister Lauds KCR Sops To Telangana Farmers
Hyderabad, Sept.20 (Maxim News): Bihar Agriculture Minister Dr Prem Kumar today appreciated agricultural schemes in Telangana and said to get seed stocks of paddy and maize from the State. A team of officials from Bihar have conducted a study on the welfare schemes being implemented in Telangana for farmers like Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bhima and others.
Dr Prem Kumar also said seed policy and production in Telangana was good which can be followed by other States. The State government in Telangana was taking good steps for boosting seed sector, he said. “We will take seed stocks from Telangana and push for their production in our State”, the minister said.
Telangana Agriculture Minister S Niranjan Reddy said Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was keen to push farm sector to a new high to earn more revenues. “Rural economy will boost with our schemes of welfare for farmers and community professionals.
Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bhima and 24-hour power supply are boosting the morale of the farmers, who are happy to involve in farm activities”, he claimed and said the entire credit will go to K Chandrashekhar Rao for providing Rs 10,000 per acre to each farmer to avoid lending related problems, he remarked. “Through Kaleshwaram project, we aim to irrigate 40 lakh acres in the State”, he said.
