Bind Over Violation Leads To One Month Jail

Hyderabad: A court sentenced a history sheeter to one month in jail for violating bind over conditions in Hyderabad. The Bahadurpura police secured the conviction after the accused breached peace protocols despite a prior legal bond.

Bind Over Violation In Bahadurpura Police Station Limits

According to the police, the person was identified as Haroon Rasheed, a notorious rowdy sheeter of Bahadurpura Police Station. Earlier, authorities bound him over under the Criminal Procedure Code to ensure good behaviour and maintain peace within the station limits. As part of that process, he executed a bond promising to refrain from any criminal activity.

However, police later found him involved in a fresh criminal case during the bind over period. This development triggered action from the department. MA Javeed, ACP, Falaknuma Division, said, “Despite being under the legal obligation of the bind-over period, Haroon Rasheed was recently found involved in a fresh criminal case. This involvement constitutes a direct violation of the conditions set forth in the bond executed by him before the executive authorities.”

Special Executive Magistrate Sentences Accused

Following the breach, police promptly produced the accused before the Special Executive Magistrate, Hyderabad District, K Jyoti. The court examined the facts and records placed by the police. After reviewing the material, the magistrate delivered the verdict.

“After a thorough examination of the facts and the records presented by the police, the Special Executive Magistrate found Haroon Rasheed guilty of violating the bind-over conditions. Consequently, the court sentenced him to 30 days of simple imprisonment,” said the ACP.

Soon after the order, police took Rasheed into custody. Later, after completing the required judicial formalities, they shifted him to the Central Prison, Chanchalguda, to serve his sentence.

The action, therefore, underlines the police resolve to maintain law and order and curb anti social activities in the area.
