BJP approaches HC against MLAs suspension

Hyderabad, March 8 (Maxim News): The opposition BJP has approached the apex court of the state against the suspension of its three party MLAs by Assembly speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy on Monday. The party filed its petition before the HC on Tuesday and urged the HC to set aside their suspension order . The party has also urged the HC to issue orders to the speaker to allow them to attend the ongoing assembly session. They urged the HC to issue orders to the secretary of the assembly to submit the video footage of the assembly and its resolution for their suspension.

Speaking on the occasion, BJP MLA M. Raghunandan Rao alleged that they were suspended from the house by violating the rules of the assembly and Indian constitution. He hoped that they would get the high court’s order in their favour . He demanded the speaker to tell the people of Telangana under what sections they were suspended from the house.

The three MLAs of the party like Etala Rajender, T. Raja Singh and M. Raghunandan Rao were suspended from the house by the speaker after they obstructed the budget speech of the state finance minister T. Harish Rao on the first day of the ongoing budget session. (Maxim News)
