BJP calls for Chalo Assembly tomorrow | No Reservation on Religious Grounds, KCR`fooling Muslims: Raja Singh
Hyderabad: Opposing the government’s proposed decision of reservations for Muslims in the State, the Telangana BJP would organise Chalo Assembly on March 24.
At a meeting of State office bearers held at the party office, State President K Laxman called up on the party cadre to reach Assembly here yesterday.
Laxman said that even after knowing that the reservations based on religion are against the Constitution, the Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao made a statement that the government would bring the 12 per cent reservation bill in the current session of Assembly. He called upon the people to take part in the Chalo Assembly call given by party’s Yuva Morcha.
The BJP president took exception to the arrests of the leaders by the police statewide. He alleged that the State government was trying to scuttle the people’s agitations in the State. He said that their party leaders who were protesting in the districts were arrested and were booked under non-bailable cases. He asked the party cadre to participate in the protest programme without caring for the arrests.
Meanwhile, BJP Goshamahel MLA T. Raja Singh Lodha here on Saturday said that “no reservation on religious grounds, KCR` fooling Muslims”. and asked the BJP Youth to call chalo assembly against the KCR govt move.
