BJP State unit President N Ramchander Rao criticised the Telangana government for civic neglect and administrative lapses during a public meeting held at Kalpataruvu Residency Club House, Multipurpose Hall in Erragadda Division. He slammed the government’s recent decision to allow the establishment of a private cemetery in the middle of Erragadda’s residential area, calling it “unwise and inhumane.” Rao alleged that such moves were politically motivated and aimed at manipulating public sentiment ahead of elections. He also cautioned officials against granting permissions near sensitive military lands without detailed inspection, stressing that such actions could jeopardise security and residential peace.

Rao praised the development vision of the NDA government under the leadership of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and then Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. “Projects like Gachibowli Stadium and Cyber City are the result of that visionary leadership,” he said. He criticised the current state government for taking undue credit for Hyderabad’s continued growth while failing to maintain its civic infrastructure.

Highlighting the deteriorating condition of Erragadda and nearby colonies, Rao pointed out the lack of drainage systems, proper roads, and functional street lighting. “Flooding, foul smells and uncovered manholes during rains are posing serious health risks,” he stated, expressing concern over the inaction of municipal officials.

He also raised the issue of noise pollution, stating that DJ programmes and loud music continue late into the night despite existing restrictions. “The police and local authorities must enforce these rules strictly,” he demanded. Turning his criticism toward both Congress and BRS, Rao said that while they had governed alternately, neither had addressed fundamental civic issues. He appealed to citizens to trust the BJP’s leadership under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, pointing to its 12 years of corruption-free governance.

Rao endorsed Jubilee Hills BJP candidate Deepak Reddy as a committed leader who remains closely connected to the community. “Your vote is more powerful than a bullet,” he said, encouraging residents to choose responsibly. “The people have seen the rule of two parties. Now it is time for change—and that change should begin in Jubilee Hills.”
