BJP Councillor joins TRS Party

Siddipet: A day after Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao’s visit to Dubbak Assembly constituency, BJP suffered a setback on Thursday when BJP Dubbak town president Yemgari Raji Reddy and his wife Madhavi, the lone BJP Councillor in Dubbak Municipality joined the TRS.

The couple, peeved with BJP MLA M Raghunandqan Rao’s behaviour, approached the TRS District President and MP Medak Kotha Prabhakar Reddy expressing their desire to join TRS. Harish Rao welcomed them into the party-fold at his residence in Hyderabad.

Speaking on the occasion, Madhavi said they were fed up with the behaviour of Raghunanandan Rao. “Though we played a key role in his victory, Raghunanandan Rao is behaving like a dictator in Dubbak, giving no scope for others to grow,” she said. Stating that she won the Dubbak Councillor election on her own effort, Madhavi said the MLA had humiliated them instead of respecting their commitment.

Terming the Dubbak MLA as just a man of words, the councillor said he was not bothered about development and was more focused on his political career. Raji Reddy said they were also impressed by the development works taken up in Dubbak by the the TRS government.
